Presentations:
So You Want to be a Publisher/Care and Feeding of a Small Press – in person presentation. 45 minutes to 1.5 hour versions. This is a complete overview of the work I’ve done to establish Queen of Swords Press as well as an overview of some of the highs and lows of small press publishing. I’ve done this presentation at the following: DreamHaven Bookstore, The Ampersand Society, WisCon, Untitled Town Book Festival, A Room of One’s Own Bookstore.
Aging in Speculative Fiction – 45 minute presentation with some visuals. Overview and discussion of depictions of aging and older characters in science fiction, fantasy and horror, all media. I’ve done this presentation at the following venues: University of Minnesota (Twin Cities campus), WisCon. I also maintain a bibliography and have been on numerous panels on this topic.
